Nowday, the Covid-19 virus is one of the main problems being faced by all people, especially in the world of education. As a result, the learning process was changed to online learning to prevent the spread of covid 19. This essay will explain the advantages and disadvantages of the online learning process during the covid-19 pandemic.

There are at least three main advantages that we can get during the online learning process in the COVID-19 pandemic area, especially for students in Indonesia. First, the online learning process in this pandemic era is flexible so that it can be easily accessed anytime, anywhere and by anyone. So that it is very easy for students to be able to take part in learning during the covid 19 pandemic. Second, in addition, participating in the online learning process is also more economical than the offline learning process, because the costs incurred are only in the form of data packages to take part in the online learning process without the need to spend others, such as transportation, food and drink costs. Third, by following the online learning process, students and teachers now understand more about the use of technology, thereby increasing public knowledge in running the available technological facilities.

However there are some disadvantages that are most commonly found during the online learning process. Among other things, network disturbances during the learning process which causes students to have difficulty accessing materials and participating in online learning processes due to network disturbances that often arise at any time. Not only that, even students have difficulty understanding the learning material provided by the teacher, so they have difficulty in doing the assignments given, and causes assignments to pile up and are slow to be handed over to the teacher. However, online learning is the most efficient step to take as a learning method during a pandemic, because makes it very easy for students to stay in touch without having to meet in person and can be accessed by anyone, anywhere and anytime.

To conclude, although online learning has certain disadvantages such as network disturbances that often cause students difficulty in accessing materials, this is the most appropriate and efficient step so that all children in Indonesia can still study during the pandemic. I believe there are still many things that can we learn during this online learning process.
