Describing Process
The design of this research is classroom action research. In general, classroom action research is research conducted by teachers based on the problems encountered in the teaching and learning process carried out. The purpose of this classroom action research is to find a solution to the problems of the existing teaching and learning process so as to produce a method of improvement to improve the quality of learning. Classroom action research consists of several cycles, each of which consists of the stages of preparation, action, observation and reflection. Cycles can be stopped when the desired results are obtained as stated by Kemmis and Mc Taggart (1998) that classroom action research consists of a continuous cycle until the researcher achieves satisfactory results and feels confident to stop research activities.

This research was designed in two cycles using song lyrics media to improve English students' listening skills. The stages in this research, in each cycle include planning, action, observation, and reflection.
1. Planning
first of all, at this stage we need to prepare everything needed in the teaching and learning process that will be carried out including what, who, where, and how. The planning stage can be described as follows; Determine the research schedule, design learning activities (Lesson Plan), prepare teaching materials, and prepare observation sheets and student worksheets (tests).
2. Action
Researchers and teachers will take the following actions; Students are given instructions about the material to be delivered, after that students are divided into small groups and given the task of writing down the words found in the song lyrics to be listened to (pre-listening task), students are given the opportunity to listen to 3 songs and each student is given a worksheet about the song lyrics contained in the audio that will be heard (While-listening task), then the teacher will guide students to sing the song they have listened to before. after that the teacher will train students to pronounce the lyrics of the English song with the students divided into small groups to brainstorm perceptions and interpretations of what they hear in the song. (Post listening task), at the final stage students were individually instructed to rewrite the song lyrics as a whole based on the results of interpretation and brainstorming in small groups.
3. Observation
At this stage the researchers observed the activeness, focus, and enthusiasm of students in group discussions as well as the concentration and focus of students during listening activities which were applied through audio containing songs.
4. Reflection
In the final stage of this cycle, the researcher collects the results of student work in the form of the results of song lyrics analysis and word classification in song lyrics. Then analyze the observation checklist data and video recorder to conclude the activities that occurred in cycle 1. Then the researcher will discuss improvement plans based on the results of the observation checklist analysis and student achievement in cycle 1 and design activities in cycle 2 when the indicators of success have not been achieved.
